Transfer by train from LuangPrabang to Vientiane cost about $24-32 USD/ person and it takes about 2.5 hours. There are seat trains of the 1st and 2nd class and you can buy train tickets at the railway station. Have no time to do it ?

Another way how you can reach Vientiane from Luang Prabang is to take a direct flight to Wattay International Airport. Bus, which cost around 15 – 20 USD and take 6 to 8 hours.
